Carl Mervin Goodenough 1934 - 2000 |
|
My dad was an inspiration to us all. He had a tough life, but never complained, simply toiling away to give us the best of everything. He was not an academic, but he was a genius at woodwork. He always wanted a daughter, but had 3 sons instead. It was utterly ironic then when, just over eight months after he died, his first grandchild was born...a girl. |

Roger Burton Goodenough 1971 - 2000 |

Roger was just two months younger than me. We were the best of friends growing up. He was my favourite cousin and we spent many holidays playing together. Although we never spent all that much time together when we were older, that special childhood bond is something that remains very precious to me. |

Sybil Irene Goodenough 1912 - 2002 |

My grandmother was the rock that held the Singapore Goodenoughs together. She was the family matriach for 70 years and life without her is difficult, as with her passing, went so much history and tradition. I'm so glad that I had a chance to tap into her wealth of knowledge while she was still alive. My 'gramsy' was a walking encyclopedia when it came to family history. She was the main reason why this site is on the web today.
